Here’s what you might expect if you come to worship with us at Union Church.

How do I get there?

The church building is located at 25 Dutcher Street in Hopedale.  A parking lot is next to the church.  Handicap accessible front entrance

What happens during worship?

An usher will hand you a bulletin (a program) to guide you through the service.  All of our services include readings, preaching, prayer, and music.  There are times when you are invited to stand, to sing, to greet people, to be in silence, to read, and to reflect on what is being done in worship.  Services include sermon, where the pastor or a member of the congregation connects Bible messages with our lives today.  We collect a voluntary offering during each worship service.  These donations support the work of the church.  At the end of worship all are invited for refreshments in our parlor, located on the same level as the sanctuary.

What about children?

Children are always welcome.  Our nursery is located at the back lower level of church building – the greeter will assist you with locating your child’s classroom.  The professionally staffed nursery is open for our youngest (infant to three year old) children from 9:45 t- 11:15.  Parents are welcome to drop children off at the nursery and then come upstairs to the sanctuary for worship.

Older children have Christian education classes year round.  Typically, they are in worship for part of the service.  Once a month, we have an all-ages worship service where they are encouraged to take part in worship.  Our current curriculum is Whole People of God, which usually connects the day’s lesson with the worship theme.
